Jane Robinson is an acclaimed author and public speaker who specialises in social history through women’s eyes.
Her thirteen books include Bluestockings: the Remarkable Story of the First Women to Fight for an Education; Hearts and Minds: The Untold Story of the Great Pilgrimage and How Women Won the Vote, and Ladies Can't Climb Ladders: the Pioneering Adventures of the First Professional Women, launched on 23 January 2020. A short biography of Josephine Butler was published by SPCK in October 2020. Trailblazer, a major biography of Barbara Leigh Smith Bodichon was published in February 2024, alongside the audiobook read by Jane. She's currently working on Lunatic Women: a women's history of madness, featuring a group of C19th and early C20th pioneers who revolutionised the way we treat mental illness today.
